Key apps to charge EV in Hungary

The location of Hungary in Central Europe makes it a crossing point for many travelers, going from East to West and also from Nord to South. While generally well covered with charging stations, there are some parts of the country, where the fast charging next to the motorways may be a challenge. Plan your trip ahead!

General apps for travels and all countries

• ABRP - one of the best route planners. Most of the chargers are in the app, but this is not 100%
• PlugShare - another route planner and roaming charger app. There is information inside even for chargers, which are not members of their network
• Ionity - one of the best networks for fast charging on international travels. Good app, fast charging on their stations - recommended
• Tesla - yes, especially the owners of Tesla cars must have it.

Hungarian apps

• Mobiliti - the charging network of the Hungarian Electricity company. Very popular and wide spread, but the chargers are often AC or relatively slow DC
• MOL Plugee - located on the petrol stations of MOL
• CleverEV - application, used by many independent charging point operators in Hungary and abroad

There are many other local operators - the chances are that with the above apps the driver will cover near 100% of the charging points in the country
